About Me
My interest in small mechanical objects began at an early age, spending time around my Grandad and his garden railway. He, along with other members of my family encouraged me to make and fix and so all my life I have worked with my hands. My interest in clocks was fuelled by family friend, Chris McKay, a great in the world of turret clocks. He took me under his wing and supported my interest. In 2023, after two years of training in cabinet making, I began studying clocks and dynamic objects at West Dean College of Arts and Conservation. Over my time at West Dean, I have covered both new making and conservation, working on all manner of object; from longcase clocks to marine chronometers, and even spending time with the Cumbria Clock Company working on the Silver Swan at the Bowes Museum.
